    The location is the best thing going for this place. We had a free place to park and could easily walk anywhere in downtown Breck.

    From the images you can tell the place is modest, however, the furniture was so uncomfortable! (Also, the sofa shown is nicer than the one that is actually in the unit). I think I have found nicer, newer, furniture at Goodwill. The sheets were scratchy, comforter was very old, no dresser in the bedroom so we couldn't unpack. The floor of the shower/tub was soft/flexible, and there was a patched hole in that spot. If I was heavier, I would have worried about falling through. There was also a very overwhelming musty odor in the place.

    The front door had a basic push-button lock, no deadbolt or chain lock. There were other security measures in the building overnight, so I didn't feel completely unsafe. But I sure did put a lot of faith in the kindness of Breckenridge.

    Despite all of that, the kitchen was very clean, though the dishware was cheap and old.

    I would not recommend Unit 113 to anyone, even as a modest-budget rental. Just a few minor upgrades are all it needs--furniture and a better lock, and maybe a ceiling fan to help air circulation to avoid the musty smell. And if staying at Der Steiermark, I would be sure to double check the furnishings of the specific unit you're looking at renting.

    Great location for town, dining, stores, grocery. The balcony had an excellent view, especially at sunset. The kitchen was well equipped. The bed sagged in the middle and the pillows were hard as rocks.

    The property is located in the heart of downtown Breckinridge, an easy walk anywhere you’d like to go. The water pressure in the shower was fabulous! The large porch had a beautiful view of Maggie pond and the mountains. The bed was uncomfortable, furniture old and dingy and the lack of coffee annoying. Our stay was great but I was underwhelmed with this property.

    This place was perfect for my family's spring break ski trip. Pull out couch worked for our kids to sleep on. Short walk across the street was convenient to get to ski school and the Quicksilver lift. Also you can walk to all the shops and restaurants within a few minutes so we never had to drive. An older unit but clean and provides all you need. Would definitely recommend.

    I booked this place because it had garage parking, had the rental company right there, and was close to a chair lift. I was not disappointed! We were also one block from Main Street so everything else we wanted to do was within walking distance. The unit had everything we needed and was very comfortable.

    This is the 3rd time that we have stayed at Der Steiermark. It is the best price that we have found for such a good location. Really hard pressed to come up with criticisms. Hot water heater is a little undersized. A dead bolt on the door would be nice. The Mi Casa menu on the mantle was way out of date. Like I said, not much to beef about.

    This property has a great location, great patio, good kitchen and great view of the river walk.
    A couple of small things could have made it much better. The mattress in the bedroom was very old and had a valley. The couch also was old and lacked support. Although, the fireplace worked and the wood was plentiful. Neither kindling nor ignition was provided
    I used newspaper and three boxes of mattches, but the wood would not light

    Very good location; just in front of the village and perfect for Main Street shopping. Building a little old and in need of updates. Apartment clean, well stocked and functional. No hair dryer and humidifier not working. Garage very convenient and useful. I will use it again!

    The personnel at Breck Resort Managers were super friendly, kind, and helpful with finding a place for us in our preferred Breck location. It was just two of us, so the condo was the perfect size. We really enjoyed the condo. It was clean and had all the kitchen amenities we needed. We also liked being so close to the QuickSilver Lift on Peak 9 and Main Street.

    Love the location of Der Steiermark ~ we have been staying there for almost 20 years; however, after this year we won't be going back. The bed and the sofa were both very uncomfortable and worn out (no support). We came back more tired than when we left for vacation due to poor sleep each night. The most comfortable place to sit was on the deck in the metal deck chairs. We will be looking for another location for upcoming trips.

    Very disappointed in condo, thermostat on living/kitchen furnace had to be replaced during stay. It was either too hot, had to leave patio door open, or too cold, had to increase heat in bedroom to help warm up living/kitchen area. Instructed by management to use breaker to turn furnace off and on prior to thermostat replacement. First attempt by management to fix thermostat resulted in breaker not working so no heat at all one night. Bedroom window latch was broken, bar stools had dried food spots and sleeper sofa cushions shedding feather stuffing and uncomfortable to sit on. Checked out one day early and management refunded one night but no recompense for the three miserable nights.
